The Alligator Snapping Turtle is the largest fresh water turtle in all of North America. They are found from eastern Texas east to the Florida panhandle, and north to southeastern Kansas, Missouri, southeastern Iowa, wester Illinois, southern Indiana, western Kentucky, and eastern Tennessee.
